Sitting, watching the Mother Ganga in her incessant hurry, I seemed to hear the word interlaced in roar,
"Son, don't you see me; born here in the Himalayas, I rush down to the planes taking with me both life and
nourishment to all in my path. Fulfilment of any possession is in sharing it with others." I feld encouraged!
I felt reinforced! The urge became irresistible!

The Chinmaya Mission today, through its numerous centers worldwide, is spreading the knowledge of Vedanta, thus contributing substantially to the rejuvenation of India’s ancient philosophy, while simultaneously nourishing
the minds of people in society.
|
|
|
Being a Hindu spiritual organization, as it is, the Mission does not seek to change or convert anyone’s beliefs.
Vedanta is universal science of life, a science, which is relevant to all people everywhere, whatever their faith.
In fact understanding Vedanta should inspire people to understand their own specific, chosen faith better.

As an extension of its basic mission, the Chinmaya Mission also extends its scope to social services, focusing specially
on the disadvantaged and underprivileged. Thousands of people benefit from the Mission’s numerous projects in education,
health, village upliftment and environment regeneration.
