Chinmaya International Foundation is housed in the campus of Adi Sankara Nilayam, the maternal ancestral house of Sri Adi Sankara, the great Philosopher Saint and the exponent of Advaita Vedanta. The entire area of campus covers an area of 8.3 acres at a place called Veliyanad in Edakkattuvayal village, Ernakulam Dt., Kerala, India. It is situated off Peppathy 3kms before Piravom on Ernakulam - Piravom Road.

The trains may stop at Ernakulam Town Railway Station or Ernakulam Railway Junction. From Ernakulam Town Railway Station to CIF it is 34 Kms and from Ernakulam Railway Junction to CIF it is 32 Kms. You may reach CIF from these locations conveniently by cab or an auto. Busses are also available. While coming by bus disembark at Pepathy and take an auto or cab. A very few trains stop at the Piravom Road Railway Station. From here CIF is at a distance of 13 Kms. One can conveniently reach CIF from Piravom Road Railway Station also by a cab or an auto.
