Bhiksha – Offering Food

Offering bhiksha (food) to a swamin (sannyasin), brahmacharin and antevasin (ashram residents) have been considered one of the foremost duties and privileges of a householder in the Indian tradition. It has been considered a great blessing equivalent to offering food for the entire universe. One could offer breakfast, lunch, dinner or full day bhiksha. CIF also has the Maha Bhiksha option, through which you can offer food on a special occasion including birthdays, anniversaries or any day of importance to you, for 11 consecutive years by making a donation of ₹2,00,000 or US$5000.

Samskriti Samrakshak – Temple Support

The Chinmaya Swayambhu Ayyappa temple was the place of worship for Sri Adi Sankara and Aryamba, his mother. You may support the temple worship by contributing a donation. Every month a puja would be offered at the sacred Swayambhu Ayyappa temple in the names of the donors on the nakshatra (star) of their birth or any day of their choice and the prasada would be sent to them.

Kindly ensure the following:

  • Your card allows online transactions.
  • Your card allows international transactions (for international payment options).
  • Your card has not crossed the permissible transaction limit.
  • You have entered all personal details correctly. All the details entered including the name, billing address, email id, contact number, date of birth etc. match the information in the card and the concerned bank account.
