Dr. D. K. RANA

Director, Chinmaya International Foundation Shodha Sansthan

 

Dilip Kumar Rana was born in 1963 in a village of Rajnagar, district Keonjhar, state Orissa. After schooling in his village, he studied Sanskrit and did his Masters (Acharya) in Advaita Vedanta under the Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, New Delhi and M.A. in Sanskrit in Delhi Unversity in 1987. He has critically edited a commentary text of Bhasyaratnaprabha on Brahmasutrashankarabhasya on Vedanta and was awarded Ph.D degree in 1992.

He started his service career as a Research Assistant in an esteemed cultural institution of Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts, under the Ministry and Department of Culture. He worked as an Assistant Director in the eminent project of Government of India, the National Mission for Manuscripts and has done many works for the development of Manuscript studies. At present he is working as Director of Chinmaya International Foundation Shodha Sansthan, Veliyanad under the Adarsh Shodha Sansthan scheme of Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of Education.

 


Dr. V. SHEEBA SUDHEER

Deputy Director, CIFSS

 

Completed her doctorate on ‘A Computational Model for Linguistic Study of Sanskrit – Balakanda of Ramayana as a Case Study' under  the guidance of Dr. M.P Unnikrishnan, Kerala University. Dr. Sheeba Sudheer did her Post Graduation in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Sanskrit Vyakarana. Erstwhile guest faculty at Department of Sanskrit Studies, University of Hyderabad, as well as at Shabdabodha and Language Technology, Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha, Tirupati.

 
Sheeba Sudheer also held the position of Sr. Linguist, Department of Sanskrit Studies at University of Hyderabad. A very valuable resource for CIF, she has participated and presented papers at many international and national seminars on NLP, Machine Learning and topics pertaining to Computational Linguistics and Sanskrit Grammar.

 

 

Mrs. SARALA KUMARI

Research Associate

 

Sarala Kumari did her Master of Philosophy in Pune University under the guidance of Dr. G.U Thite and Post Graduation in Sanskrit Sahitya from Kerala University. She was closely associated with the Sansk-Net project which was taken up by CIF in collaboration with Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeeth, Tirupati.

Sarala Kumari has made valuable contributions to various academic projects like Critical Edition of Brahmasutra Sankarabhashya, Critical Edition of Sabarabhashya, Grihyapadakosha, Subhashitasangraha, Vadasangraha, Loukikanyayakosha and so on. Her editing skills have been valuable in several of CIF publications like Holy Gita Ready Reference, Isvaradarsana, Suktisudha and Padmapadacaritam among others. She has been awarded the Silver Shield by Pujya Guruji Swami Tejomayanandji, Head of Chinmaya Mission for her long and meritorious service to the Mission.

 


Dr. C.P AMBIKA

Research Fellow

 

Dr. C.P Ambika completed her doctoral studies on ‘Adbhutapancara of Narayana Dikshita, a critical study’, from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala under the guidance of Dr. K. Leelamani. She also holds a post graduate in Sanskrit Sahitya and a B.Ed in Sanskrit. She has valuable experience as Research Assistant in Manuscript Library, at the Government Sanskrit College, Tripunitura. Ambika also worked as a guest lecturer at Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Regional Centre, Turavoor and Government Sanskrit College, Tripunitura. She has also taught Sanskrit at the Vyasa Vidyalaya, Kakanad.

 


Mrs. C.V RAJALEKSHMI

Librarian

 

C.V. Rajalekshmi obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Library and Information Sciences through the Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi and her Post Graduation in Sanskrit from Maharaja College, Ernakulam. She was associated with CIF’s Sansk-Net project (in collaboration with Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeeth, Tirupati).

 
Rajelakshmi also made contributions to CIF’s academic projects like Critical Edition of Brahmasutra Sankarabhashya, Critical Edition of Sabarabhashya, Grihyapadakosha and Subhashitasangraha among others. She has participated in several seminars and workshops in subjects related to her proficiency. Rajelakshmi has been a valuable resource in CIF’s preservation of manuscripts under the guidance of Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH).
