For the Pujya Gurudev's Centenary Year celebrations coming up in the year 2015, Pujya Guruji has initiated the writing of 12 books called Mananam Series, that will span the life and work of Pujya Gurudev including every initiative of his that has taken Vedanta and the art of right living to mankind covering every stage of life from childhood to the elderly and beyond. The first two have been released - He did it and Vedanta.

The next one in the series is on the Chinmaya Mission's Research initiative, The Chinmaya International Foundation. As you know, CIF is home to some outstanding research work that mines ancient India and extracts knowledge about the six philosophies of India, about scripts that are now obsolete but which hold in their strokes, stories and truths about an era gone by, an era that holds our roots. This is an opportunity to explain to everyone why CIF is so integral to all that Pujya Gurudev ever wanted to do.

This is no ordinary book. It gives you an overview of the birth, infancy and growth of Chinmaya International Foundation and provides a glimpse of the yeomen service rendered to the cause of Sanskrit and preservation of a great culture. This book talks about how this seed grew with no money at first and how the strength of the dream and sheer will to realize it, found resources including divine sanction in the form of an uncanny invitation to buy the birth home of Sri Adi Sankara! In short, this book explains why CIF is so integral to all that Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayanandaji ever wanted to do!

We did not even imagine that if we dig, we would find so many little stories that go to make up our past, our purpose, our birth, our infancy, stories about our elders who nourished us and shaped us as we toddled from being just a name plate to what we are today.

By no stretch of imagination is this a 'boring book'. This is a book that collects ancestry, ambition, aim and accomplishment into a deeply interesting narrative on Chinmaya International Foundation.
