The official inauguration of CIF was held on 18th February 1990 and during which ceremony Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayanandaji named the ancient and sacred site of Melpazhur Mana fittingly as ADI SANKARA NILAYAM.
In April of this year, CIF held its first activity, a SANSKRIT SHIBIRAM for the students.
Soon after, in July the Home Study Sanskrit Correspondence Course in English medium was inaugurated.
