Avadhuta Gita, appearing in Shrimad Bhagavatam, is spiritual knowledge expounded as a beautiful dialogue between Lord Krishna and his devotee and friend Uddhava. Instructions to Uddhava by Lord Krishna known as "The Uddhava Gita" starts from verse 40, Chapter 6, Book 11 of Shrimad Bhagavat Mahapurana and ends after Chapter 29. The first -part of this is known as Avadhuta Gita. This is also called the farewell message of Lord Krishna, a parting discourse, and is meant for those students who have first thoroughly studied The Bhagavad-gita. It is also an independent teaching by itself.

Srimati Shanthi Rammohan completed the Vedanta Course (2011-2013) at Sandeepany Sadhanalaya, Mumbai. Presently, She conducts and coordinates various activities at Chinmaya International Foundation such as Vedanta Courses, evaluation of Home Study courses answers, responding to queries raised by students related to Vedanta study and She also conducts Webinar classes on Upanishads, Prakarana Granthas and Sanskrit.
