Bhaja Govindam is one of Sri Adi Sankaracharya's most beautiful works, a profound text composed in lucid language. It is addressed to lay men while it has the capability to captivate the attention of intellectual philosophers as well. The fundamentals of Vedanta are indicated in 31 simple but powerful verses. The verses expound the wretched state of a person who is spiritually ignorant and shows the path towards Liberation.
Upadesha-sara is a brilliant composition by the great saint Ramana Maharshi. The text encapsulates the essence of all Vedantic teachings. The text explains the paths of action, devotion, yoga and knowledge and how these paths lead to the final goal of Self-knowledge.
Sadhana-panchakam is a prakarana-grantha written by Sri Adi Sankaracharya. Through five potent and powerful verses, he gives us the great spiritual path to the Truth. The text specifically elaborates the aspect of sadhana, the spiritual practices that a seeker should abide by in order to reach the ultimate Truth. In 40 steps the author shows the entire spiritual path.
