An age-old, dilapidated Sri Krishna temple was situated on a hillock on the northern side of Adi Sankara Nilayam’s temple complex with a Krishna idol. As advised by Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda, the temple on the hillock was eventually dismantled and the idol was consecrated inside the Chinmaya Swayambhu Ayyappa Temple. As part of Lord Krishna’s Prathishtadina, Ssecial pujas including Ashtadravya Ganapathy Homam and Kalasa Puja for all the deities in the temple will be performed by Brahma Sree Manayathattillam Aryan Nambudiri, the Temple Thanthri.
Paduka Puja will be offered to Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda at Gurudev’s Shrine situated inside the temple complex. Chuttuvilakku (lighting 1008 lamps around the temple) and Annadanam (Bhiksha) will also be art of the celebrations.
