Krishna Janmashtami, is an annual festival to celebrate the birth of Lord Krishna, the eighth avatar of Lord Vishnu, who incarnated to maintain Dharma on the earth. The birth of Lord Krishna on the eighth day (Ashtami) of the Krishna Paksha (dark fortnight) in Shravana or Bhadrapad is observed as the Krishna Janmashtami.

Chinmaya International Foundation will be celebrating Krishna Janmashtami at Chinmaya Swayambhu Ayyappa Temple in Adi Sankara Nilayam (maternal birth-home of Sri Adi Sankaracharya) on 30th August, 2021.
Sri Krishna Avatara Puja will be performed by Swami Sharadananda Sarasvati, from 6:00 PM to 12:00 AM IST.
