Appayya Dīkṣita had collected gems of wisdom from the vast Vedantic literature and compiled them to form the treatise called Sidhhāntaleśasaṅgraha, so named as if to testify its content.

Siddhāntaleśasaṅgraha elucidates the opinions of Vācaspatimiśra, Vivaraṇācārya, Ānandabodhācārya, Citsukhācārya, Vidyāraṇya, Sureśvarācārya, Nṛsimhabhaṭṭopādhyāya, Kaumudīkāra, Vedāntasiddhāntamuktāvalīkāra etc. in such a way so as to be brief but complete and presented in the order in which these texts advance further from the previous view.

Devī Māhātmyam ~ Caritam 3

with Swami Sharadananda Sarasvati, CIF

Adi Sankara Nilayam

(Maternal brith home of Śrī Ādi Śaṅkarācārya)

Devī Māhātmyam:

This text describes the Goddess as ‘Śakti’, the Supreme power and creator of the Universe. This text, composed in Sanskrit, is part of the MārkaṇḍeyaPurāṇa and consists of 13 chapters and 700 mantras. It is also known as Durgā Saptaśati or Caṇḍī-pāṭha. In most parts of India, it is the most renowned text dedicated to the worship of Devi Durgā, and it is recited during Navrātrī celebrations and the Durga Pūjā festival.

The Devī Māhātmyam recounts a victorious battle between good and evil, where the Devī manifesting as Goddess Durgā leads the forces of good against the demon Mahiṣāsura.  In peaceful times, states the text, the Devī manifest as Goddess Lakṣmī, empowering wealth creation and happiness. The verses of this story also outline a philosophical foundation. It also describes reverence and worship of the feminine aspect of God. It is often ranked to be as important as the Bhagavad-gītā.

Vedanta Sadhana Camp

In Celebration of Sri Adi Sankara Jayanti and Sri Chinmaya Jayanti

Study Sri Adi Sankara’s -

Vakya-vritti with Swami Advayananda

Bhagavan Adi Sankaracharya, an inspired saint, philosopher and missionary, could not rest content with merely producing exhaustive and splendid commentaries on the Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita and Brahmasutra. In his infinite love, he conceived many textbooks to help all the students at different levels of intellectual understanding to give the subtle meaning of the Upanishadic wisdom.
The Upanishads contain some of the greatest statements known as the Mahavakyas, which indicate the highest knowledge of oneness between the individual and Supreme. In this beautiful text, Vakya-vritti, Sri Adi Sankaracharya elaborates on 'Tattvamasi', one of the most well-known Mahavakyas.
Lakshmi Narasimha Karuna Rasa Stotram with Swami Sharadananda Sarasvati
Bhagavan Adi Sankaracharya, as we all know, was a great spiritual master, brilliant writer, exceptional missionary and much more. But he was also a very great devotee of the Lord. An enthralled devotee in Bhagavan Adi Sankaracharya brings out from his heart a series of verses in praise of Lord Lakshmi-Narasimha called the Karuna Rasa Stotram.
Each verse ends with a prayer, "Lakshmi-Narsimha mama dehi karaavalambam - O Lord Lakshmi-Narasimha, please bless me with the touch of Your lotus hands."
Describing the beautiful form of the Lord and praising His divine qualities, Sri Adi Sankaracharya requests the Lord to save him from the ocean of samsara.
