Study Sri Adi Sankara’s -
Vakya-vritti with Swami Advayananda
Bhagavan Adi Sankaracharya, an inspired saint, philosopher and missionary, could not rest content with merely producing exhaustive and splendid commentaries on the Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita and Brahmasutra. In his infinite love, he conceived many textbooks to help all the students at different levels of intellectual understanding to give the subtle meaning of the Upanishadic wisdom.
The Upanishads contain some of the greatest statements known as the Mahavakyas, which indicate the highest knowledge of oneness between the individual and Supreme. In this beautiful text, Vakya-vritti, Sri Adi Sankaracharya elaborates on 'Tattvamasi', one of the most well-known Mahavakyas.
Lakshmi Narasimha Karuna Rasa Stotram with Swami Sharadananda Sarasvati
Bhagavan Adi Sankaracharya, as we all know, was a great spiritual master, brilliant writer, exceptional missionary and much more. But he was also a very great devotee of the Lord. An enthralled devotee in Bhagavan Adi Sankaracharya brings out from his heart a series of verses in praise of Lord Lakshmi-Narasimha called the Karuna Rasa Stotram.
Each verse ends with a prayer, "Lakshmi-Narsimha mama dehi karaavalambam - O Lord Lakshmi-Narasimha, please bless me with the touch of Your lotus hands."
Describing the beautiful form of the Lord and praising His divine qualities, Sri Adi Sankaracharya requests the Lord to save him from the ocean of samsara.
