Manipal University

Manipal University (MU), nestled on a plateau in Karnataka’s Udupi district, excels as one of the topmost education providers in the country. Having been referred to as the ‘Nalanda of Yore’ by the former President Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, MU has emerged as the preferred destination of young students and scholars from across the globe to participate in the learning process. Dvaita Philosophy Resource Centre (DPRC) under Manipal Centre for European Studies (MCES) of the University was established with the funding of European Union in 2009 to preserve the rich cultural and philosophical heritage of India. It opens the doors of Indian knowledge reserve to the International Scholars. The Centre is focused on research programs in Sanskrit studies, PhD in Sanskrit studies, publication of scholarly works, and maintenance of rare textual resources and building of the library. It has published five books in Dvaita philosophy translated from Sanskrit and is in process of publishing many in coming years. It also organizes seminars and workshops for bringing together of traditional scholarship and the modern academic world.

Chinmaya International Foundation

Chinmaya International Foundation, the Academia of Sanskrit Research and Indology, is the research wing of the Chinmaya Mission worldwide. It is a centre of excellence for the study, research and dissemination of knowledge in the areas of Indian philosophy, culture, art and science, business management, both modern and ancient.

Established in the year 1989, CIF is housed in Adi Sankara Nilayam, the hallowed maternal birth home of the great saint, savant and philosopher Sri Adi Sankara. Located in a small hamlet, Veliyanad, in Ernakulam District, Kerala, India, CIF stands on a 10-acre plot of land amidst luxuriant sun-blessed greenery, temple shrines and lotus ponds. It offers an ambience of peace and solitude for study, research and contemplation to aspirants from the world over.

Various research activities, academic workshops and seminars, home study courses, publication of research works and preservation of manuscripts, are taken up at CIF. All these are aimed at unravelling India's hidden and lost knowledge traditions, taking it to the modern world and preserving it for posterity.
