'Adi Shakti: Philosophy and Narratives of the Feminine Divine' is a compilation of the lecture series which was conducted at Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth during the Dipavali festival in November 2020. The love and admiration for Shakti, the Feminine Divine, is a major feature of the Sanatana-dharma right from the Vedic times. She continues to be revered and invoked as Lakshmi, Parvati, Durga, Sarasvati, Kali and in many other names and forms.
The book provides a comprehensive overview of Adi Shakti from various dimensions. It contains ten chapters and has been divided into two parts. The first part looks at the concept, different forms and philosophy of Shakti; whereas the second part explores the description of Sakti in scriptures and literature.
