The Mandukya-upanishad is the most precious gem adorning the Atharva-veda and is the source of one of the four Mahavakyas – “ayam atma brahma.” It shines with the essence of the whole Vedantic treatise in short but deeply contemplative 12 mantras and is rightly glorified in Muktikopanishad as ‘the one which is sufficient to take a seeker to Liberation’.

Adopting a unique methodology, it analyses the whole realm of experience and associated consciousness in four states of waking, dream, deep sleep and the state of Pure Consciousness, in which all the other three resolve ultimately. It provides Omkara-upasana relating each syllable of ‘Om’ to a specific state of consciousness and step-by-step guides a seeker to reach the subtlest core.

In the present talks, one is methodologically guided to take a leap from one state to another using logical premises to show the ultimate oneness of the Self with the Truth through simple explanation. As the Upanishad says, "sa atma sa vijneyah – take on this journey to this Self which is to be Realised."
