The Medha-suktam from the Yajurveda beseeches Indra, Agni, Ashvini Kumaras, Surya and also goddess Saraswati to grant ‘Medha’, that is intelligence, and the capability to retain.
In essence, the Medha-suktam relates to the worship of Knowledge visualised as a Goddess, and has been commonly chanted as a prayer to Devi Sarasvati.
These discourses by Swami Sharadananda Sarasvati were recorded in February 2022, during the Vedanta Sadhaka Course held at Adi Sankara Nilayam.
